How to use the 'Notes' sample library

1 Choose an instrument family from the drop down list .
In this example 'strings' is selected.

2 Choose an instrument from the drop down list.
In this example violin is selected.

3 Pick a note: the image below shows the default settings for violin samples.

The pitch, G3 is the lowest note on the violin - use the drop down boxes to select different notes.
(G4 will be an octave higher than G3, G5 another octave higher and so on.) You can also search for samples of different durations and dynamics.

When you have the settings you require, click 'Search for Sample'

4 Listen to the sample by clicking the play button on the media player.
The greyed-out text tells you which note you have selected.

5 To save the sample, right-click on the link and click on 'Save Target As...' from the list of options.

6 Pick a location on your computer to save the sample, give it a memorable name if you want and then click 'Save'.

Save it!
